Virtual Visit
A new version of the Virtual Visit programme is now running on the site. It includes 125 panoramic images of the rooms and halls of the State Hermitage and 7 views from the roofs of its buildings.
The quality of the images, produced using new photographic technologies, makes it possible to truly appreciate the beauty of the museum rooms, to examine exhibits and details of the interior decoration. The panoramas are accompanied by texts that describe the museum’s displays and its masterpieces and provide information on its architecture and history.

The World of the Ancient Egyptian Gods
We draw your attention to an exhibition devoted to the religion of Ancient Egypt, important features of which were polytheism (worship of a number of different gods), syncretism (the combination of features of different gods in one deity), the distinctive appearance of the gods and principles of interaction between man and god. The text is accompanied by 3D depictions of statuettes of Ancient Egyptian gods from the collection of the State Hermitage.
